Why?

Why trying to reinvent 200 year antique technology?

My answer is that old steam technology was never perfected and has lot of potential combined with our modern age technology. James Watts with his condensing steam engine had a brilliant mind, unfortunately he never reached maximum performance and efficiency in my opinion.
